Stephen R. Tangalin died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 17, 2003 at the age of 56.
Born on Sept. 27, 1947 in Honolulu, O’ahu, he is survived by son, Stephen Jr. (Melissa) Tangalin of Kekaha; daughter, Mahealani (Elmer) Sarmiento of Kekaha; 11 grandchildren; mother, Herminia Lardizabal of Wailua; father, Ben B. Tangalin of Wailua; four brothers, Leroy Tangalin, Frederick (Carol) Tangalin, Leonard Tangalin all of Wailua and Scott Lardizabal of Glendale, Calif.; three sisters, Gloria Reed of Honolulu, Yolanda (Scott) Kurihara of Honolulu and Nena (Bill) Johnson of Wailua; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of life will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at the Wailua River Landing; service officiated by Rev. Wayne Vidinha will begin at 1 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Nina Q. Fabro of Kapa’a, died at Wilcox Hospital on Nov. 17, 2003 at the age of 78.
Born in Honoka’a, Hawaii on April 5, 1925, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Mauricio “Bo” (Emily) Fabro, Jr., of Kapa’a and Melvin Damasco of Waimea; two daughters, Maurina (Larry) Borgatti of Kapaa and Priscilla (Eddie) Posten-Banasihan of Kekaha; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; three brothers, Alfred (Millie) Requilman of Arizona, John Requilman of O’ahu and Arnold (Charlene) Quartero of O’ahu; six sisters, Florence (Henry) Keliikoa of Hilo, Maraea Barrientos of Tennessee, Rosita Hatori of Oahu, Sarah (Bill) Lennox of Ohio, Josephine Melanowski of California, and Francis (Robert) McGowan of O’ahu; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; with service to begin at 11:30 a.m. Private internment at a later date. Casual attire is suggested.

Mauro Galiza
Mauro Galiza of Kapa’a, died Nov. 22, 2003, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 83.
Born Jan. 22, 1920, he was a laborer for Lihue Plantation.
Preceded in death by daughter Norma Galiza Aka, he is survived by his wife: Elilia Cadiz Galiza of Kapa’a; two sons: Villamor (Grace) Galiza and Jesus (Rodalita) Galiza; daughter Shirley (John) Galiza; brother: Frederico Ballesteros Cadiente; sisters: Maria Cadiente Boloson and Eugenia Cadiete Acob; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, Nov. 29, at Lihu’e Aloha Church Assembly of God from 9-10:15 a.m. where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kauai Mortuary.
