BYUH men’s water polo seeded fourth
The BYU-Hawai’i men’s water polo team received the fourth seed in the upcoming Western Water Polo Association tournament announced Nov. 17 in Laie.
The Seasiders will face fifth-seeded UC-Davis in the opening round, at 1 p.m. Friday at the Thompson Aquatic Center at the University of Redlands in Redlands, Calif.
The Seasiders are 13-6 for the season and defeated the Aggies (10-9) earlier this season, and downed UC-Davis in the first round of the WWPA tournament last year, 7-5. Friday’s winner will meet either top-seeded UC-San Diego or eighth-seeded Pomona-Pitzer in the second round at 8 p.m. Friday. The Seasiders lost to UC-San Diego earlier this season, 12-10 in overtime, and have not played Pomona-Pitzer.

No jogging or running allowed
The fourth annual “Tin Man Invitational” is set for Nov. 30 at 9 a.m.
Take a break from the serious athletic events. This year, the Tin Man organizers are inviting all to “see how the ‘unfit’ celebrate the joy of victory and the agony of defeat.”
This year, five “non-competitors” will take the mile-and-a-half walk to the golf club from the fountain, enjoy some breakfast, and walk back.
Each year, one person takes a turn at winning-no jogging or running allowed.
The “non-competitors” will meet at the fountain located at the entrance to Princeville.
