KOHALA — Kris Moe of Northern California shot a 70 in the final round for a 222 to win the Open division at the 2003 Prince Resorts Hawai’i State Open at the Hapuna Golf Course.
Hilo Municipal’s Lance Taketa finished second three strokes back at 225.
Stephanie Kono was the Women’s Division winner, shooting an 82 in the final round for a three-day total of 238. Christine Kim finished second with a three-day score of 239. Low professional was Julie Miyagi with a total score of 222.
In the senior division, former Hawai’i resident now living in Tennessee, George Newbeck took first place with a three-day total of 222. Larry Stubblefield came in second two shots back at 224.
