A sacrifice fly to centerfield by Dela DelaCruz pushed the Bruddahs to a 17-9 win over Hard Knocks in the county’s 35 softball action Thursday night at Isenberg Field.
The Bruddahs blasted 22 hits while allowing just a dozen to Hard Knocks in the win.
Bobby Texeira and Kevin Medeiros each drove in three RBI’s for the Bruddah, Texeira finishing with a double and a single while Medeiros closed with a triple and three singles.
Derek Rapozo came up with a 2-RBI homerun and DD Ibia and Greg Santos each finished with an RBI apiece, Ibia ending the night with three singles and Santos finishing with a pair of one-baggers.
Guy Higa ended with three singles, Todd Young and Kaupena Kinimaka each added a pair of singles each in the Bruddahs’ win.
Clifford Mission, Leonard Vegas, and Kimo Tehada each notched an RBI for Hard Knocks, Mission ending the night with three singles, Vegas and Tehada each closing with two singles along with Willie Allianic in the loss.
Andy Ragasa suffered the loss on the mound with 22 hits allowed on a pair of walks while Bruddahs shared pitching between Young and Ibia, Ibia picking up the win on four hits allowed with a walk and a strikeout while Young finished with eight hits allowed on a walk.
Young Blood 10, Hana Hou 7
Darrell Borero, finishing with two RBI’s on a pair of singles, drove in the go-ahead run as Young Blood surged past Hana Hou 10-7.
Sam Dias finished with three RBI’s on a pair of singles, Bully and Antone Bolocan each drove in an RBI, Bully finishing with a double and a single while Antone closed the night on a pair of singles.
Mario Longboy and Victor Sasaki each chalked up two singles to help the Young Blood win.
Nelson Chiba led Hana Hou bats with an RBI on a homerun and a single while Clinton Fujii, Don Ouderkirk, and Todd Yamase all finished with a pair of singles in the loss.
Charles Wong, sharing the mound with Paris Resinto, suffered the loss for Hana Hou, allowing eight hits on a strikeout while Resinto allowed six hits on two walks.
Sandy Pacheco allowed 15 hits on two strikeouts in the win.
Ikaika 6, Mike Soong 3
Steven Cardinez pushed the winning run home as Ikaika took Mike Soong 6-3 in the finale.
Glenn Rodero got an RBI on a triple and a single while Henry Hee added a triple in the win. Seven other Ikaika hitters added a hit apiece.
Seven Mike Soong batters also finished with a hit each with Dana Palama taking the lead with a pair of singles.
Mel Lorenzo suffered the loss for Mike Soong, allowing eight hits on a walk and two whiffs while Sia Salausa held Ikaika to just a hit.
Rodero got the win for Ikaika with nine hits allowed on three walks and a strikeout.
