The Gene Wells Wooden Boat Regatta will start at 10 a.m. today in the Nawiliwili Small Boat Harbor. Wells has designed and built boats on Kaua‘i since the 1970s. The races will be best seen from the Nawiliwili Mole, site of the old Club Jetty. Sailboats can be viewed at the small boat harbor. Afterward, join the Nawiliwili Yacht Club for a potluck at the clubhouse. Refreshments and hot dogs will be available.
