Something’s rotten
I have commented several times on the fact our justice system needs to be fixed and just saw another example in the paper of November 8th. A Vice President of the Bank of Hawaii, Kent Iboshi was fined $100.00 plus ordered to give $50.00 to the State Crime Victim Compensation Fund. His crime was making illegal contributions to Jeremy Harris campaign fund.
What a joke. One hundred fifty dollars to a vice president of Bank of Hawaii is like the NBA fining a player who makes twenty million a year $5,000. That is not punishment, it is an admonishment not to get caught the next time. The people of Hawaii and other states must begin to publicly criticize these judges and demand that those who do not serve the interest of justice leave the bench.
Most all of the recent convictions for illegal campaign donations have been connected to millions of dollars of no bid contracts. Why is our state government giving no bid contracts. The very idea of a no bid contract for these huge sums is unconscionable. If I recall correctly the Cayetano administration gave a no bid contract to one of the governor’s friends to build a school for $30 million. Something is very rotten.

Don’t use the seal
Maryanne Kusaka’s at it again.
Remember when she illegally ran her diamond business out of the Mayor’s office, using a county telephone number as her business number?
She’s gone even farther this time in breaking the law by using the Seal of the State of Hawai’i in her political campaign ad that’s run in The Garden Island lately.
She wants to be our lawmaker, yet she can’t stop breaking laws.
No thanks Mrs. Kusaka. If you don’t know the difference, you should stay home.
