A Women in Business Roundtable Luncheon will be held at Gaylords Restaurant-Living Room on Friday from noon to 1 p.m.
Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. It will be a buffet lunch and the cost for the event is $14 for lunch which includes tax and tip.

Nash joins A&B
O‘AHU — Julie Nash has joined Alexander & Baldwin (A&B) as manager of corporate planning.
In this position, she reports to Christopher Benjamin, vice president, corporate development and planning. She will be responsible for developing and coordinating A&B’s annual operating plans, financial forecasts and strategic plans in addition to conducting analysis and research in support of corporate development initiatives.
“We are pleased to welcome Julie to A&B,” said Benjamin. “Her business development, marketing and management expertise will strengthen A&B’s corporate development and planning a program. Hawaiian launches e-ticketing
O‘AHU — As part of its continuing effort to go “paperless” while increasing efficiency and customer convenience, Hawaiian Airlines has teamed up with Alaska Airlines to provide interline electronic ticketing for their mutual customers,
Customers of Hawaiian and Alaska can now purchase single e-tickets for travel itineraries that include flights on both carriers. Previously, e-ticketed customers were required to convert to a paper ticket when transferring between the carriers.
Interline e-tickets are being issued by both cashiers through their respective reservation centers, at airport locations and ticket offices, and via domestic travel agencies.
Biofeedback seminar on Wednesday
Kaua‘i residents will have the opportunity to do a free baseline hookup, and observe their own brainwave activity on a computer monitor during the EEG Biofeedback seminar presented by Dr. Thomas Budzynski.
The seminar will be held at the Kapa‘a Library beginning on Wednesday from 1-5 p.m. with free Brainwave Monitoring and then from 7-9 p.m. with the seminar.
Dr. Budzynski is a professor at the University of Washington, teaching and doing research in the areas of neurofeedback, geriatrics, and an identical twin study with chronic fatigue syndrome.
He recently completed a study, which involved the enhancement of academic performance in college students using audio-visual stimulation. The outcome demonstrated the efficacy of this technique in improving grade point average significantly.
His most recent grant involves application of neurofeedback to mild head injury.
He is a frequent lecturer and workshop leader in the area of EEG Biofeedback, and past President of the AAPB, the Association of Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback.
