INDIANAPOLIS — In response to a rise in popularity of the Hawai‘i business and leisure market, American Trans Airlines (ATA) announced new daily nonstop service between Honolulu and Seattle.
The new daily nonstop service will begin Feb. 20. Featuring low fares starting at $255(d), off-peak, one-way, based on round-trip purchase, ATA will be the only low-cost carrier connecting Seattle nonstop to Honolulu.
“As consumers demand more choices and value in air travel, we believe carriers like ATA will continue to rise to the top in key destination markets such as Honolulu,” said John Happ, Senior vice President of Marketing and Sales. “With the addition of Seattle to Honolulu, ATA will be providing service from the three most traveled mainland markets—Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle to Hawai‘i. As of June 2004, ATA will offer the fourth-highest number of flights between Hawai‘i and the mainland.”
Flights between Seattle and Honolulu will be operated on ATA’s Boeing 757-200s, offering d spacious 32 to 33 inches of legroom and powered by Rolls-Royce engines.
Travelers will be able to enjoy in-flight movie entertainment, sitcoms, music and complimentary hot meals with every Hawai‘i flight.
Currently, the carrier also offers three flights a day from Seattle to Chicago-Midway (except Saturdays) and offers direct service daily to Indianapolis and Pittsburgh.
ATA offers a simplified fare structure on all its routes and is making a solid commitment to its customers that its highest one-way fare for travel from any ATA mainland city to any of its Hawai‘i destinations will never exceed $599.(d)
All ATA Hawai‘i fares require no Saturday night stay. The change fee is only $50, compared to $100 charged by most major carriers.

By printing out a boarding pass online, customers without checked baggage can save valuable time by skipping check-in at the counter and going straight to security when arriving at the dirport.
