Nicomedes Torio
Nicomedes Estrada Torio of Kilauea died at his residence on Oct. 17, 2003, at the age of 93.
Born in San Manuel, Pangasinan, Philippines on Sept. 26, 1910, he was a retired ditch irrigator with Kilauea Sugar Plantation. He also worked with Pioneer Seed Co., and the County of Kauai Beautification Department.
He is survived by his sons, James and Solomon, both of Anahola; Anthony Torio and Thomas Torio, both of Kilauea; daughter, Lynette Viluan of Kilauea; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the family residence on Kilauea Road. Visitation is also from 11 a.m. to noon at the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, followed by mass at noon. Burial will be private. Casual attire is suggested.
