Matsue K. Morikawa of Waimea, died at Kauai Care Center on Oct. 16, 2003 at the age of 83.
Born in Kekaha, on March 31, 1920, she was a retired kitchen helper with Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by husband Muggsy K. Morikawa of Waimea; two sons, Ross (Nanci) Morikawa of Pearlridge and Ken (DeeDee) Morikawa of Waimea; daughter, Jan (Keith) Fujimura of ‘Ele‘ele; granddaughter/caregiver, Renette S. Fujimura; three brothers, Takeo (Hisako) Kubota of Kekaha, Nobuo (Yukiko) Kubota of Kalaheo and Yoshi (Judy) Kubota of Waimea; sister, Michie Tanaka of Waialua, O‘ahu, 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Waimea Honpa Hongwanji; service officiated by Rev. Hardiman will begin at 3 p.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Toshio Matsuyama
Toshio Matsuyama of Lihu‘e, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on October 18, 2003 at the age of 83.
Born in Hanama‘ulu, on Feb. 16, 1920, he was the Owner/Manager of T & H Service Ltd., and Beach Boy Rent-A-Car.
He is survived by wife, Akiyo S. Matsuyama of Lihu‘e; two sons, Warren (Melanie) Matsuyama of Lihu‘e and Neal (Robbin) Matsuyama of Wailua; three daughters, Susan (Gary) Nakagawa of Las Vegas, Marsha (George) Nishimura of Kamuela and Gail Sakai of Lihu‘e; brother, Sueo “Joe” (Katsuko) Matsuyama of Lihu‘e; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Lihue Hongwanji Mission; service officiated by Rev. Motoyoshi will begin at 11 a.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Robert “Larry” Mitchell
Robert “Larry” Mitchell, 44 of Kamuela, died on Oct. 17, 2003.
Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on Dec. 12, 1958, he was the owner of Custom Painting of Hawaii.
He is survived by his wife, Norah Charles; mother Margaret Mitchell; sisters, Anne Mitchell, Gail Markway.
Memorial services will be held on the Big Island at a later date. Donations may be made to the Special Olympics West Hawaii.
Arrangements are being handled by Ultimate Cremation Services of Hawaii.
