Abe Kahaulua drove in the winning run as Ikaika blanked Hard Knocks 9 – 0 Thursday night at Isenberg Field in the County of Kaua‘i’s 35-and-over softball league.
Kahaulua notched a trio of RBIs on his single for the night with Eddie Resinto and Willie Cummings each tallying RBIs on their pair of singles.
Eric Fujiwara, Philip Kamakea and Americo Morris each finished with a pair of singles in the win.
Glenn Rodero picked up the Ikaika win with four hits allowed on one strikeout while Dan Fort suffered the loss with 14 hits and a pair of walks allowed.
Young Blood 3, Custom Limo 2
Darryl Borero whacked the winning run in the top of the eighth inning as Young Blood edged Custom Limo 3 – 2 in extra innings.
Borero finished the night with a pair of RBIs on two singles with Sam Dias finishing with an RBI on a triple and a pair of singles.
Antone Bolocan rounded out the Young Blood hitting with a pair of singles.
Sia Salausa led Custom Limo bats with an RBI on a pair of singles, Tom Kim finished with a pair of singles and six players each had a hit for Custom Limo.
Salausa suffered the loss on the hill with 10 hits and one walk allowed before Frank Bukoski took over, allowing a hit and three walks.
Sandy Pacheco picked up the win with 10 hits and a pair of walks allowed.
Hana Hou 10, Braddahs 2
Andy Pungan, finishing with a pair of RBIs on a single, tallied the winning run as Hana Hou took a 10 – 2 win over the Braddahs.
Don Ouderkirk finished with three RBI on a single, Nelson Chiba drove in a pair of RBIs on a triple and two singles, with Brenn Nakaahiki finishing with an RBI on four singles.
Dean Pigao and Jon Takamura each ended the night with a pair of singles apiece in the win.
Hank Ibia suffered the Braddahs’ loss with 19 hits allowed on a strikeout and Paris Resinto picked up the win with 10 hits allowed.
