Rodney Haraga, director of the state Department of Transportation, will discuss Kaua‘i highways, harbors and airports issues tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m. at the Lihu‘e Civic Center.
And Ernie Lau will come back to Kaua‘i again, this time as deputy director of the state Department of Land and Natural Resources, to discuss priorities and projects within the DLNR’s Division of State Parks and Division of Boating & Ocean Recreation.
Lau is a former Lihu‘e resident and former manager and chief engineer of the county Department of Water.
They will meet with Gov. Linda Lingle’s Kaua‘i Advisory Committee and other members of the public.
The committee is in the process of finalizing its list of priorities to present to Lingle before the 2004 state Legislature convenes in January.
The Kaua‘i committee holds monthly public meetings to seek community input and advice for Lingle on important issues, budget priorities, and recommendations for state boards and commissions.
