A crew from the cable TV Food Network filmed a coconut cooking contest held Saturday at the Coconut Festival in Kapa‘a.
The story of the dishes and recipies and their contribuotrs is expected to air later this year on the nationally-broadcast TV station along with scenic scenes of Kaua‘i.
The show is slated to be a special on the popular cooking network. A recent special featured the Great American Pie Cook-Off.
The Kaua‘i-based filming is aimed at giving viewers a look at Kaua‘i, as well as look at how best to cook with coconut.
