Praise Concert 5, a free concert featuring a lineup of famed island stars is set for Friday, Oct. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall.
Among them, Roland Cazimero, Chucky Boy Chock, Malani Bilyeu, David Kahiapo, Jan Shima, Rupert and Kahealani Tripp, Sam Mahuiki Sr., Mark Riley, Robbie Kaholokula and the Island Praise Dancers, Wallis Punua, Lihu‘e United Church’s Tongan Choir, Kaua‘i Youth Dance Team and the All-Church Choir and Orchestra.
Christian musician and pastor David Kahiapo, of O‘ahu, will perform cuts from his new CD, which will be released shortly after the concert. Jan Shima, recording artist, disc jockey for KAIM radio and worship leader for New Hope on O‘ahu will feature Brazilian worship with accompaniment in dance.
Distinguished guests include Roland Cazimero, one of Hawaii‘s most beloved performers who along with his brother Robert comprise The Brothers Cazimero. Also, Malani Bilyeu, well-known as the lead vocalist of Kalapana and an accomplished solo musician, will perform. Both have performed at previous Praise Concerts and we are excited about welcoming them back this year.
Praise Concert 5 begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3. Doors open at 5 p.m. and admission is free. For more information, call 742-7514.
