Kaua‘i’s first Bouganvillea Festival was held Saturday in Hanapepe. The event focused on the colorful bouganvillea flowers common to the Westside town.
Live music, local food booths, fun games for children, craft demonstrations and a day-full of events were part of the new festival. Sponsors include the Historic Hanapepe Town Association, Inc., the county Office of Economic Development, the Hawaii Tourism Authority, the West Kaua‘i Business & Professional Association, the West Kaua‘i Community Coalition, the Hanapepe Public Library and the Kaua‘i Historical Society.
