KALAHEO — Despite strong play by Kalaheo led by Emma Makepa-Foley’s bursts of speed in getting to the ball, the Lihu‘e “B” struck early and never looked back to take the 16-19 Girls seven-a-side contest on Saturday.
Reina Fujimoto struck first early in the game, charging up the middle for a quick goal that got past Kalaheo goalie Savannah Rollins.
Codie Yamauchi followed with a goal from the left, and Cherisse Rapozo boomed one from the right.
Shauna Tachibana closed the half as her shot glanced off goalie Lehua Pereza’s gloves for the 4-0 half.
Kelcie Morita, Kassy Morishige, and Brittney Banach iced the win for Lihu‘e with second half goals.
