Pioneer clears up ‘misinformation’
Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. has more than 75 years experience in responsible plant research. We were the first company to commercialize hybrid seed corn, and are now utilizing biotechnology to introduce more product choices and bring greater value to the world’s farmers.
Pioneer strives to ensure biotechnology is utilized to meet consumer needs and ensure a safe, nutritious and abundant food supply. We take our work seriously and conscientiously. We know our business positively impacts the farmer in the field – as well as the Hawaiian economy and the global food chain.
I’d like to clear up some misinformation about Pioneer’s work in Hawai‘i. Pioneer does not develop plant-made products solely for pharmaceutical or industrial uses, nor do we have any plans to develop them at this time. And we are not conducting research using human genes.
For more than 30 years, we’ve been proud to be a part of the Hawai‘i business community. We appreciate the recent public interest in biotechnology and in the work we do in this state. For those interested in learning more about biotechnology, we suggest accessing www.whybiotech.com or www.bio.org. And for more information about Pioneer, please visit http://www.pioneer.com.

‘Blame’ it on GW
After much thought, I’ve come to the realization that, after all these years and months, I’ve been wrong in assigning the responsibility for all the ills our nation and society have been suffering for the past 30-40 years to the liberals/socialists.
I now realize that the downturn in our economy and 9/11/01 was G. Bush’s fault. When there has been too much rain, it was G. Bush’s fault. When there hasn’t been enough rain, it was G. Bush’s fault. When it’s been too hot…G. Bush’s fault. When it’s been too cold….G. Bush’s fault. When the electricity goes out…G. Bush’s fault. When I get a flat tire on my truck, G. Bush’s fault. When the toilet get’s plugged up, it’s G. Bush’s fault. When my hemorrhoids itch, when my breath smells, when the lawn needs mowing, when it’s cloudy, when the traffic is too heavy, when it’s too windy, when the song on the radio sucks, when the price of Foster’s Lager goes up 2 cents, or the price of gas by 1 cent/gal…..when I have gas…when I burn the toast, when the cats barfs up a hairball…in fact, when ANYTHING happens in my life that I don’t like, I now realize it’s all GW’s fault.
How I could have been so blind to this truth, I just don’t know. But thanks to the (un-ending) pronouncements from the left (and the wonderful contributors to the GI editorial page), I’ve come to realize the error in my thinking, and I want to apologize to any and all of those whom I may have offended in the past when I called leftists/democrats a bunch of stupid ess oh bees.
I also want to thank my many friends who have been so patient with me, waiting for that day when I would finally realize how wrong I’ve been. I can only hope to make restitution for my mistake by announcing my support for the only person who can make everything in America right again……Hillary for president!
p.s. If it’s not Bush’s fault, then it HAS to be Ashcroft’s!
