Iolani takes Waimea Invitational

WAIMEA — The Iolani Raiders successfully defended their Waimea Boys Invitational Volleyball Tournament crown Saturday afternoon with a methodical 21-11, 21-9 dismantling of the Damien Monarchs in an all-ILH finale at the Clem Gomes Gymnasium.

The Kaua`i Interscholastic Federation (KIF) host Waimea Menehune, who finished the tourney in third place (out of 14 teams), fell to the Monarchs in a hard-fought three-set semi-final 21-16, 18-21, 9-15.
