Kapa‘a High School cheerleaders are already back in school, and in preparation for the kickoff of the KIF Fall season, came out to volunteer at the American Heart Association, Kaua‘i Chapter’s 2003 Heartwalk on Saturday.
Waimea High School cheerleaders are not yet back in session, but were also involved in the Heartwalk, walking the distance before trying their hand at the Obstacle Course following the walk.
School for Waimea and Kaua‘i High School begins on Monday, August 25. but both the Menehune and Red Raiders will be premiering their football squads before school begins.
Kaua‘i High School will be hosting El Camino High School on Friday night at Vidinha Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Waimea High School will be travelling to O‘ahu for their pre-season opener against the Waialua Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon.
Kapa‘a High School will also be winging to O‘ahu for their preseason football opener this weekend.
Next week Friday, August 29, Kaua‘i High will be hosting Punahou at Vidinha Stadium starting at 7:30 while the Kapa‘a Warriors’ JV and varsity squads will match up with the Kamehameha Warriors on Saturday afternoon starting at 5:30 p.m.
