West Kaua‘i Youth Baseball League to elect officers
The West Kaua‘i Youth Baseball League will have its final executive board meeting Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Omoide Restaurant at 7 p.m.
They will elect league officers for president, vice president, secretary and treasurer for the upcoming 2004 season. If elected, terms are for two seasons.

‘Shapemakers’ film shows Sunday
North Pacific Production’s film “Shapemakers” is scheduled to show Sunday, Aug. 17 at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Kilauea Theatre.
Tickets are available in advance at the theater n $7 adult, $6 senior, $5 child.
The feature-length film by Paul Kraus features conversations with world-class surfboard shapers including Dick Brewer, Bill Hamilton and Terry Chung from the North Shore of Kaua‘i.
The film features hot contemporary surfing footage as well as vintage archival shots.
Kaua‘i musician Cindy Combs is featured on the soundtrack.
