Lawa‘i Hawai‘I — The County of Kaua‘i announces Akemama Road in Lawa‘i will be closed to all vehicular traffic for one hour next Wednesday and Thursday.
Akemama Road, a one-way street mauka of Kaumuali‘i Highway, will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on August 6th and August 7th. County personnel will be trimming trees and bushes as well as removing a large rock atop a nearby hill that creates a potential safety hazard.
Motorists are warned there is no identified alternate route and are asked to plan their travel time accordingly.
