The three island high school football teams will get plenty of preseason work before the September 5 KIF regular-season opener.
On Sept. 5, the Warriors and Red Raiders face off at Vidinha Stadium in the conference opener.
On the next night, Waimea plays host to Woodbridge in the Menehune’s preseason finale.
The Menehune then play Kapa‘a in their KIF season opener on Sept. 12 at the Hanapepe Ball Park.
However, before the KIF season gets underway, the three teams will get a few preseason games under their collective belts.
On August 22, Kaua‘i High faces El Camino High at Vidinha Stadium.
The next week, the Red Raiders battle it out with Punahou at Vidinha.
Kapa‘a plays the next night vs. Kamehameha here in town.
Junior varsity games start at 5 p.m. with the varsity contests taking place at around 7:35 p.m.
