- “Growing Up Plantation Style” Parade, Koloa Town, 10a.m. Find a good viewing spot for the parade. There will be walking & equestrian units, floats, decorated vehicles, classic cars and trucks. Parade starts at 10a.m. on Poipu Road, in front of Pohaku T’s, then turns right at the Chevron station onto Koloa Road. It turns left at Sueoka Store onto Maluhia Road and ends at the ballpark. From 9a.m. to noon, use Ala Kinoiki Road (Koloa-Poipu bypass road) to enter or exit from Poipu. (Stella Burgess, 742-1234)
- Celebration at Koloa Ballpark, with food, crafts & entertainment, 10a.m. to 5p.m. $1 admission fee. Entertainment in the big tent from 11:00 to 5:00 by Tsunami Taiko drummers, Kasibulan Filipino dance club, Rohotu Tahitian dance group, Lost Pelican Band playing acoustic rock, Latin Amigos kachikachi band, Holomua with Darren Benitez, the great local comedy of Frank De Lima, and headliners, the Opihi Pickers, playing contemporary Hawaiian music. Keiki crafts, face painting, balloons. Huge arts & crafts fair with quality products made in Hawaii. Lots of food and soft drinks. Classic vehicles on display. Silent auction of useful items and services, golf, resort stays, jewelry, fine art, and more from 10a.m. to 3:30p.m. Display of antique farm and ranch equipment.

- Koloa Plantation Days Rodeo, CJM Stables (1-1/2 miles past Hyatt), grand entry at noon. Top cowboys & cowgirls compete for champion trophy buckles in riding, roping, barrels, and bull riding. Craft and food booths; free admission. (742-6096)
- Cecilio & Kapono “Together 30 Years” Concert, Hyatt Regency Kaua‘i. Doors open 6p.m.; concert starts 7p.m. $20 general admission. Popular duo performs their distinctive rock and island music.
