Recipients of the Rotary Club of Kapaa scholarships were honored along with their guests during the organization’s Wednesday meeting held at the Kauai Coconut Beach Resort.
Awardees attending the luncheon included: Jilian Carmichael, Nicolette Cuaresma, Clesson Higashi, Ihi Yama, and Raysha Sadang. Unable to make the function were Kim Torigoe, Case Laplante, and Diedra Spencer.
The club also acknowledged recipients of their first music scholarships which were presented to Stacey Sueoka and Nathan Smith.
Funds for the scholarships were derived in part from the proceeds of the recent “Taste of Hawaii” event held at Smith’s Tropical Paradise at Wailua.
