Henry Waiola Kanahele of Niihau, died at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home on June 3, 2003 at the age of 81.
Born in Puuwai, Niihau on Nov. 4, 1921, he was a Cowboy with Niihau Ranch.
He is survived by sons, Henry M. Kanahele and Joseph (Sharon) Kanahele both of Makaweli; daughters, Helen (Stanley) Kanahele of Kaumakani and Nani (Michael) DeMotta of Hanapepe; sisters, Virginia Nizo, Betty Kanahele and Eunis Kanahele all of Niihau; 23 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 13, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; serviace officiated by Rev. Dana Kaohelaulii will begin at 11 a.m. Followed by burial at Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery. Aloha attire is suggested.
