WAIMEA — The Menehune Booster Club has presented the Richard M. Doi athletic scholarship of $500 to Dane Koga, son of Eric and Alison Koga of Lawai, and Virginia Aguilar, daughter of Victor and Priscilla Aguilar of Kalaheo.
Each year, the Menehune Booster Club present scholarships to a male and female recipient.
Nominees are selected for this scholarship based on the following: Graduating senior athlete who exemplifies the Menehune spirit of good character, discipline, loyalty and commitment.
Dane will be attending Kauai Community College and major in culinary arts. Virginia will attend Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas and will major in computer science.
