Manuela Ramelb Galdones of Koloa died on May 25, 2003 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, at the age of 89.
Born in the Philippines on December 21, 1913, she was a homemaker.
Preceded in death by son Rufino, she is survived by two sons; Anthony (Delia) Visaya of Lihue, Efren (Sally) Visaya of Los Angeles, Calif.; daughter, Solidad (Leonardo) Antonio of Koloa; sister, Modesta Ramelb Valite of Hilo; brother, Reymundo Rivera Ramelb of Hilo; two foster children, Andy (Geri) Reuarin of Lihue, Gloria Dela Cruz of Hayward; daughter-in-law, Carmelita Visaya, 17 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 31, at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Father Felix. Burial to follow at St. Raphael’s Church Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.

Daniel Hadir Cortez of Lihue died May 19, 2003, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 92.
A retired foreman for a sugar plantation, he was born July 10, 1910, in the Philippines.
He is survived by his wife: Flora Cortez of Lihue; sons: Davis (Carolyn) Cortez, Sr., Richard Cortez, Sr., Patrick (Judy) Cortez, Clifford (Claire) Cortez, Dennis (Audrey) Cortez; and daughters: Juliana Lim Cortez, Philomena Cortez, Norma Cortez, Peggy (Craig) Salba-Honnet, Debra (Jason) Leikvoll, and Florenda Cortez; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary on Monday, June 2, with service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.

BB 11-23-41, AA 6-10-74, Loving wife of Thomas, Mother of Scott, Mindy, Thomas, 4 grandchildren, is now at rest with God of her understanding. Also having raised many AA babies. No local services, in lieu of flowers donations to AA General Services, 475 Riverside Dr. New York, NY 10115. Known best for bringing light and love to all she touched. We will miss leggs dearly. Born in Lihue on October 20, 1906, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, John Bertrand of Lihue; two brothers, Lucas (Daisy) Rapozo of Lihue, Albert Rapozo of Lihue; 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, June 3, at Immaculate Conception Church from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. where Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by Father Paul. Burial to follow at church cemetery.
