The 12th Annual “Keep it Hawai’i” program culminated with the Hawai’i Visitors and Convention Bureau’s Awards Luncheon on April 3, 2003 at the Hawaii Prince Hotel in Waikiki.
This year, 15 Kahili Awards and 23 Certificates of Merit were presented to businesses, organizations and individuals who year-round work to maintain and preserve Hawai’i’s unique culture.
The Kahili Award for Accommodations was presented to Waimea-based Kikiaola Land Company Ltd.’s Waimea Plantation Cottages, whose cottages are examples of classic plantation architecture that preserves an important chapter of Kaua’i’s history.
Representing Kikiaola Land Co. at the award presentation were: Paul Schow, General Manager Waimea Plantation Cottages, Roland Sagum, Linda Fay Collins, President Kikiaola Land Co., Ltd., Jim Bell of Belt-Collins, Liz Hahn of Kikiaola Land Co. and Bob Fox of Fox Hawaii.
