Surf event to be held Saturday
The H.S.F./Y.M.C.A. Kauai contest No. 4, will be held at Kealia Beach Break, Kealia. Saturday and Sunday. The starting time is 8 a.m.
Body Boarding Divisions are first. The next two contests are as follows: Pine Trees, Hanalei Bay. April 5-6, Alt. Dates April 12-13. Prince Kuhio, Po’ipu, May 3-4, Alt. May 10-11. Contest information line, call 338-1952.
Canoe club to offer youth paddle
The Namolokama O Hanalei Canoe Club is hosting a youth paddle on Saturday at the Pavilion Beach Park.
It will start at 11 a.m. and run to 12:30 p.m. This is a free event and lunch will be served to the kids. Parents or guardians must be on hand to sign a waiver. Kids should be at least 9-years old and be able to swim.

Mokihana Aquatics to hold party
Mokihana Aquatics will help celebrate April Pools Day and water safety on Kaua’i with a pool party on Saturday at the Kaua’i High swimming pool from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Adult Aquasize and swim tips will take place from 8-8:45 a.m. with a Lollipop swim meet and exhibition swims running from 9-10:30 a.m.
At 10:45 a.m., a timed trial of state champion Keenan Anaya and other top swimmers from the KIF will run until 11:30 a.m.
There will also be an aquatic safety workshop for parents and children under 5 at this time.
There will be games and prizes once the pool party begins along with water safety presentations, water polo and child first aid workshops. There will also be free hot dogs, chips and sodas as well.
