Pistons beat Hoops — Brandon McDaniel scored 16 points to help the Westside Hornets down the Lihu’e Breakaway 37-31 in boys 14 and under community basketball on Thursday night in Kalaheo.
The Breakaway was led by seven points from B.Young and nine points from M. Alayvilla.
In other action, the Kalaheo Pistons bested the Lihu’e Hoops 33-21.
Josh Bradbury scored 13 points for the Pistons while Lucky Andres added nine for the Hoops.
In the final game on Thursday, Kapa’a was defeated by the Lihu’e Sixers 50-26.
Dean LumYuen scored 13 for the Sixers while B. Morishige and J. Cox combined for 24 points.
