Ron Wiley, the popular talk radio commentator for KONG radio in Lihu’e, is collecting names of the men and women of Kaua’i who are serving in the Iraq War.
Parents and other relatives are providing most of the names, and Wiley is announcing them on the air with some basic information about the branch of the Armed Forces they are serving in, and where they are located in the Middle East.
The Garden Island is assisting Wiley in getting the word out as the names come in to him, and will be publishing the list as he updates it.
Added to the list on Thursday were: E-5 Galen Manuel aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln; E-3 Ryan Manuel aboard the USS Porter; Troy Rabao; Charles W. Boggs, Jr. – LCPL, Marines, Kuwait; Davin Taniguchi; Ritchael Carriaga, Irag; Cpl. Travis Ancheta, USS Tarawa, San Diego; Spc. Steven Souza, Koloa, 40th Transport Company, Kuwait; Lance Corporal Michael Gray, Marines, USS Bataan, Persian Gulf.
