Yaris (6) combined with Calsen Agrade (6), James Sagucio (6), and Chris Newcomb (9) for 27 of their 35 points in an effort that fell short as the Kalaheo Pistons wrapped up a 53-35 victory behind the hot hand of Josh Bradbury who tickled the twine for 14 points in the win.
Tyrus Ceria-Lux joined the ranks of double-digit scoring for the Pistons with a 13-point contribution with Jervin D.C. Mararagan adding a dozen markers in the victory.
Lihu’e Breakaway’s sizzling layup demonstration in the second half paced their 58-32 victory as they outdistanced Kapa’a behind the combined efforts of Nathaniel Beralas and Brenden Young who each chalked up 10 points in the win.
Kapa’a relied on the aggressive guard performance from Cody Kimura, but could not get to their tall post in the second half.
Chaz Galvaz came up with a game-high 17 points to lead the Kapa’a scoring.
Lucky Andres penetrated the inside for 15 points to lead the Lihu’e Hoops to a 43-35 showing against the Lihu’e Sixers in the finale.
Jordan Cox paced the Sixers with 11 points in the loss.
The Boys 14 Under program continues at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center on Thursday with three games scheduled starting at 5:30 p.m.
