Pauline Padilla
Pauline Ferrer Padilla of Hanapepe, Kaua’i died at Dagupan City, Pangasinan, PI on March 8, 2003 at the age of 71.
Born in Tayug, Pangasinan on December 6, 1931, she was a retired Laundry Manager with Waiohai/Poipu Beach Resort and was currently employed by Roberts Hawaii as a Handy Van Aide, and a Senior Companion with the State of Hawaii, Kauai Adult & Community Services Unit.
She is survived by two sons, Eustaquio Jr. (Noreen) Padilla of Honolulu and Joseph (Vivian) Padilla of Mililani; four daughters, Aida (Frank Sr.) Cruz of Koloa, Gloria (Raymond) Ramirez of Ewa Beach, Grace (Geno Fernandez) Padilla of Hanapepe and Becky (Robert) Komaki of Hanamaulu; seven grandchildren; brother, Alex (Irene) Ferrer; two sisters, Melicia DeGuzman of Tayug, Pangasinan, PI and Clarita Ferrer of San Mateo, CA.; hanai son, Gil (Raelani) Aguilar of Makaweli; hanai daughters, Lil Henricksen of Kekaha and Yvette Cadawas of Hanamaulu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may visit with the family from 5 – 8 p.m. on Sunday, Mar. 23, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel with services officiated by Pastor James Brooking. Visitation also at 9 a.m. on Mon. Mar. 24, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; with service officiated by Rev Alex Vergara. Burial will be held at Kauai Memorial Gardens. Casual attire suggested.

Albert Alimboyoguen Sr.
Albert Sarita Alimboyoguen Sr. of Las Vegas, died Feb. 18, 2003, at his residence at the age of 74.
Born on September 14, 1928 in Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, An Army Veteran, he was a retired pipe fitter for an oil refinery, a nine-year resident of North Las Vegas and a volunteer for Telephone Pioneers.
He is survived by his wife, Verna Evelyn Alimboyoguen of Las Vegas; daughters, Donna of New York, Michelle (Karl Ramirez) Alimboyoguen of Lawa’i, Tida and Darlene of Stockton, California; sons, Walter of Stockton, California, Albert (Victoria) Alimboyoguen Jr., of Texas; brothers, Bolo Sarita of Honolulu, Hawai’i; Harold (Dolly), of Fremont, California, Ronald of Fremont, California; sisters, Juanita Caspillo of Fremont, California; and Anna Medrano of Hanama’ulu, numerous grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date with scattering of his ashes to follow.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be given to the American Heart Association in his memory.
Yoshio Kinoshita
Yoshio Kinoshita of Lihu’e, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Mar. 12, 2003 at the age of 70.
Born in Huleia, Kauai on Aug. 29, 1932, he was a retired Park Caretaker with the State of Hawaii Parks and Recreation.
He is survived by wife, Angela of Hanama’ulu; brother, Kiyoto (Eunice) Kinoshita of Lihu’e; six sisters, Matsue Anama of Honolulu, Sunao Pescador of Kapa’a, Misao Ringor of Lihu’e, Tomie (Alika) Kelekoma of Puhi, Fujiko Yamamoto of Hanama’ulu and Katherine Oyama of ‘Ele’ele; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Mar. 22, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service officiated by Rev. Yukiko Motoyoshi will begin at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Kauai Veterans Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Kinuyo Mizutani
Kinuyo Mizutani of Lihue, Kauai, died at Wilcox Mem. Hosp. on Mar. 10, 2003 at the age of 92. Born in Lihue, Kauai on Aug. 3, 1910 she was a Homemaker. She is survived by two sons, Charles (Takako) Mizutani of Lihue and Warren (Marsha) Mizutani of Kapaa; daughter, Dorothy Miyahara of Lihue; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Services were private.

Kayla Manibog Itamura
Kayla Noelani Manibog Itamura of Kalaheo, Kaua’i, died in Honolulu, on Mar. 10, 2003 at the age of 2 days old. Born in Lihu’e, Kaua’i, on Mar. 8, 2003.
She is survived by her parents, Cheryl Manibog and Galen Itamura of Kalaheo; paternal-grandparents, Glenn and Barbara Itamura of Lihu’e; maternal-grandparents, Rudy and Agnes Manibog of Hanama’ulu; paternal great-grandparents, Raymond and Marie Itamura of Kalaheo, Soei Oshiro of Hanama’ulu, Eileen Costa Brum of Lihu’e; four uncles, Garen Itamura of Kalaheo, Arnold (LaRhonda) Manibog of Hanama’ulu and Lloyd Manibog of Hanama’ulu, Jon (Sally) Manibog of California; aunty, Brandy Itamura of Kalaheo; two cousins, Makana Manibog and Kainalu Itamura.

Sergia Cabatan
Sergia Cabatan of Puhi, died March 12, 2003, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 62 after battling breast cancer.
A homemaker, she was born Oct. 7, 1940, in the Philippines.
She is survived by one daughter: Emelda Cabatan of Puhi; one son: Nestor Cabatan of Puhi; three sisters: Rosita Bolosan of the Philippines, Flora Adaoag of Puhi, and Lorenza Bolosan of Hanama’ulu; three brothers: Juan Cadiz of Puhi, Menancio Cadiz of Puhi, and Tony Cadiz of Honolulu; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, March 21, at Borthwick/Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, March 22, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa, where services will be conducted. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Kiyoko Matsuura of Kapa’a died at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital on March 15, 2003 at the age of 82.
Born in Makaweli, Kaua’i on October 13, 1920, she was a cook with Kapa’a High & Elementary School.
She is survived by two sons, Norman (Dale) of Lihu’e; Rod “Bronco” (Dari) of Kamuela, Hawai’i; one daughter, Lei Odani of Wai’anae, O’ahu; four brothers; Sei (Alice) Matsuda of O’ahu, “Boxer” (Madeline) Matsuda of ‘Ele’ele, Shigeo Matsuda of Torrance, CA and Ikuo (Yoshi) Matsuda of Arleta, CA.; two sisters, Nan Oyakawa of O’ahu and Miki (Toku) Nishikawa of O’ahu; sister-in-law; Nora Matsuda of Torrance, CA.; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Seichi Miyasato of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, Mar. 13, 2003 at the age of 87.
Born in Polihale, Kaua’i on May 13, 1915, he was a Laborer for the County of Kaua’i.
He is survived by wife, Kiyoko; two sons, Benjamin Miyasato of Honolulu and Brian (Kate) Miyasato of Lynnwood, WA.; two daughters, Marjorie (Richard) Alfieri of Edmonds, WA. And Violet (Tom) West of Lynnwood, WA.; brother, Robert Miyasato of France; two sisters, Masako Inouye of Scottsdale, AZ. and Molly Hillman of Los Angeles, CA.; 5 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service officiated by Rev. Akiya will begin at 3 p.m. on Sat. Mar. 22, 2003 at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Rosalie Makishima
Rosalie Makishima of ‘Ele’ele, died at Kaua’i Veteran’s Memorial Hospital on March 15, 2003, at the age of 52.
A room attendant at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Kaua’i, she was born in the Philippines on June 19, 1950.
She is survived by her husband: Albert Makishima of ‘Ele’ele, mother: Regina Parnoncillon, sisters: Dory Reason, Lucy Soluta and Elsa Dura all of the Philippines and Sister Viviana, O.P., from Honolulu.
Also surviving are stepsons: Aaron Makishima and Mason Makishima of Honolulu, and brothers: Francisco Parnoncillon and Fernando Parnoncillon both of the Philippines.
Services will be Saturday, March 29, 9 to 11 visitation, 11 a.m. Mass. with burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Casual attire is suggested.
