Claire Shigemi Hayashida, 56 of Honolulu, Hawai’i, passed away Feb. 21, 2003 at Queen’s Medical Center. She was born July 7, 1946 in Lihu’e. She was a computer operations scheduler for the State of Hawai’i, DAGS.
She lived her life thinking of others first. Our hearts remember her as a loving wife, mother and friend who could never say “no” to anyone.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney Hayashida; daughters, Lauri Shinn and Lynette Shinn; father, Fred Nishimura; sisters, Susan (Wayne) Horikawa, Nora (Benji) Napoleon, granddaughter, Mikayla Smith.
Family requests that flowers be omitted and casual attire be worn.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 6, at Mililani Downtown Mortuary (20 S. King St.) Memorial service at 7 p.m.

Jodine “Joni” Renae Yago of Lihu’e, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on March 1, 2003 at the age of 31.
Born in Heidelberg, Germany on Sept. 17, 1971, she was a registration manager with the Kauai Medical Group.
Preceded in death by her father, Jerry Holt and step-father, Ronald Williams, she is survived by husband, Bernard; daughter, Kailee; mother, Vicki Williams of Hilo; brother, Jason Holt of Michigan; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, at the Salt Pond Pavilion in Hanapepe. The family request in lieu of donations, please donate blood in her name to the Blood Bank. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
