Shandra Vidinha Sabala of ‘Ele’ele, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Feb. 17, 2003, at the age of 92.
Born on Feb. 12, 1911 in Kalaheo, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters: Marie (John) Yap, Juliette Mira; two sons: Joseph (Suzanna) Sabala, Peter (Betty) Sabala; two brothers: John (Alberta) Vidinha, Ernest Vidinha, 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Feb. 22, at St. Theresa’s Church in Kekaha from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. where mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Father Larry. Burial to follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Emilio Medina
Emilio Medina of Kapa’a, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Feb. 16, 2003, at the age of 74.
Born on April 13, 1928 in Hawai’i, he was a maintenance supervisor.
He is survived by two brothers: John Medina of ‘Oma’o, Tony Medina of ‘Oma’o; five sisters: Emilia Velentine of Lihu’e, Louise Mills of Honolulu, Helen Medina of Honoluu, Julia (Louie) Troy of Honolulu, Cathy Nagel of California, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Feb. 21, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. where service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Rev. Paul Kirchner. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Sean Colleran
Sean Patrick Colleran of Kapa’a, died at his residence on Feb. 18, 2003, at the age of 44.
Born on July 5, 1958 in Illinois, he was the parts services manager for King Auto Center.
He is survived by his wife: Ruby Jacinto Colleran of Kapa’a; son: Sean Patrick Colleran, Jr. of Kapa’a; mother: Donna Mae Colleran of Idaho; two brothers: Kevin Colleran of Idaho, Steve Colleran of Idaho; mother-in-law: Emilia Jacinto of Koloa; father-in-law: Francisco Jacinto of Koloa, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Feb. 21, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. where Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Robert Iida Jr.
Robert Alexander Iida Jr. of Corcoran, Calif. (formerly of Kaua’i) died on Feb. 15, 2003, at the age of 42.
Born in Newport Beach, Calif., on June 22, 1959, he was a tattoo artist.
He is pre-deceased by his grandfather: William Iida and grandmother: Theresa (Jerves) Iida of Calif.; father: Robert A. Iida Sr. of Calif. He is survived by his grandfather: Edward Ferreira Sr. of Lihu’e; grandmother: Madeline (Abrue) Ortiz of Koloa; mother: Jeanette (Ferreira) Poe of Koloa; brother, Michael Iida of Oregon; sisters: Theresa Iida of Hanama’ulu, Renee Jungblom of Wash, children: Tyson Iida of Koloa, Tiannah Iida of Koloa and Robert Iida III, of Koloa, 3 grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
