Ongoing and online is the Kauai Business Conditions Survey, being conducted by the University of Hawaii Economic Research Organization (UHERO).
The survey, supported by funding from the County of Kauai, is part of an ongoing effort to assess business conditions and prospects for the island economy.
Earlier this year, invitations to participate in the survey were sent to organizations like the Kaua’i Chamber of Commerce. Now, UHERO representatives want to hear from anyone in the Kaua’i business community interested in participating.
To participate, follow the link at the UHERO Survey center, www.uherosurveys.hawaii.edu. Use the Chamber user identification, kchcom, and password, kokee.
The Kauai Business Conditions Survey is intended to gauge sentiment about current and future economic conditions in the local business community. It will be followed after the New Year by an open survey of consumer attitudes about the economy.
Results of these surveys will be reported periodically through UHERO news releases and on the UHERO Web site, www.uhero.hawaii.edu.
UHERO does not require personal or identifying business information to participate in the surveys, but if company representatives feel comfortable providing personal information such as name, company name, e-mail address, zip code, etc., they may do so.
Such information will allow UHERO to conduct more focused analysis of the survey data. The organization will not publish any information that could be used to identify individual responses to survey questions.
