SANTA RIDES A LASER – Santa (aka Mike Bailey), top, darted between colorfully lit boats in the Nawiliwili Yacht Club’s Annual Christmas Parade Saturday evening at the Nawiliwili Harbor and Kalapaki Bay. The annual event always draws a large gathering of spectators who collect at the jetty wall to watch the harbor night come alive with sparkling lights and carols as the sun sets.
Bottom, Caitlyn and Caylyn Villatora get some help from mom Jennifer and Lynn Kanoho as they work on their gingerbread house creation at the Gingerbread Festival that was held Saturday at the Kukui Grove Shopping Center as a benefit for the Easter Seals of Kaua’i. Patrons could purchase gingerbread house kits and unlease their creativity in coming up with their version of the popular holiday decoration. This was the first year the event was held on Kaua’i.
