Brosnan, who is expected to live on Kaua’i part-time, is the star of several James Bond movies and the film “The Thomas Crown Affair.” He is coming to the island this month to introduce the Kaua’i screening of his newest movie, “Evelyn.”
Kilauea will have its own red-carpet screening of the movie, with Brosnan scheduled to be in attendance and introducing the showing on Friday, Dec. 27 at 7 p.m.
There are only a few $15, general-admission tickets left for the show. Tickets are available at Kong Lung Co. and Kilauea Theater in Kilauea, and at Kauai Village Theater in Waipouli.
Brosnan is donating his time and the film’s showing as a benefit for the Kauai Aloha Endowment. Damon Marc donated Kilauea Theater for the evening, and the Kauai International Film Festival is sponsoring the showing.
Tickets are already sold out for the reserved seats that include admission to a post-showing champagne reception with Brosnan set for The Lighthouse Bistro, which is located adjacent to the theater.
Brosnan, the producer of “Evelyn,” will host the post-screening reception.
According to Ha’ena neighbor Roberta Haas, who attended the film’s premiere in Hollywood earlier this month, Brosnan is excited about the new film because he feels it features some of his best acting.
Brosnan’s latest Bond flick, “Die Another Day,” is scheduled to show at Kilauea Theater beginning Saturday, Dec. 28.
