HILO – Mei-Ling Keopuhiwa took first place in the Girls Singles and Mixed Doubles Juniors Division at the Hilo Invitational Thanksgiving Tournament. Keopuhiwa won the Singles Juniors Divison with a total pinfall of 577. In Mixed Doubles, she teamed with
HILO – Mei-Ling Keopuhiwa took first place in the Girls Singles and Mixed Doubles Juniors Division at the Hilo Invitational Thanksgiving Tournament.
Keopuhiwa won the Singles Juniors Divison with a total pinfall of 577. In Mixed Doubles, she teamed with Hilo’s Jake Camrillo and won with a pinfall of 1,019.
The Kaua’i Interscholastic Federation’s star bowler led a team representing the Kaua’i Junior Bowling Program. The Kaua’i team competed with nine other programs throughout the state, vying for top honors in Team, Doubles and Singles divisions.
Special awards were given to Kekoa Masuda in the Junior Divison, who bowled a score of 200 in the Boys-High Singles Scratch event. And Keopuhiwa, to cap her impressive trip, bowled a 215 in the Girls-High Singles Scratch event.
