WAIMEA – The Waimea Menehune will host the first preseason basektball tournament of the year at Clem Gomes Gymnasium Thursday.
The tourney will be held for three days, from Thursday through Friday, and will feature all three Kaua’i Interscholastic Federation teams and three others from off-island – Word of Life High School, Pahoa High School and Kaahumanouhou Hou High School.
All games, which will be played according to the National High School Federation Rules, will be played at Clem Gomes gym.
Admission for the games (one ticket is an all-day pass) is $1 per student and $2 per adult.
On Thursday, Kapa’a High will face Pahoa at 4 p.m., Word of Life will meet Kaua’i High at 5:30 p.m. and Waimea will play Kaahumanou at 7 p.m.
On Friday, Kaahumanou Hou will play Kapa’a High at 4 p.m., Pahoa meets Kaua’i High at 5:30 p.m. and Word of Life will face Waimea High at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, Kaahumanou Hou will face Kaua’i High at 11 a.m., Word of Life will play Kapa’a High at 12:30 p.m. and Pahoa faced Waimea High at 2 p.m.
