This is what play off games are all about. These two teams met twice during the regular season and both won a game a piece. This emotion charged, 1st round play off game ended regulation time in a tie. The game went into a five ‘shoot out.’ At the end of the five shot ‘shoot out’ the game again remained deadlock with each team making 3 of 5 goals. The game was extended into a second round ‘shoot out’ with goalie Aaron Mederios making the only ‘shoot out’ block of the game and Daniel Quinlan scoreing the winning goal! Waimea will meet their ‘brother team’ Hanappepe, who they practice with regularly, for the second round playoff game on Oct. 30, 4:30 p.m. at the Hanapepe Field.

Hanapepe Earthquakes played a super defensive game, holding the Raiders down in the winding minutes of the game. The Raiders almost pulled it off with several attempts at the goal.
