LIHUE – Lance Higashi and Hank Ibia each knocked in three rbis to lead the Braddahs to an 11-5 win over Youngblood Tuesday in another 35-over slowpitch softball game in Lihue.
Todd Young allowed 13 hits to take the win for the Braddahs. Rory Rayno, allowing just 11 hits from the Braddahs, took the loss.
Higashi had one single and one double to go along with his three rbis; Ibia had two singles and a homerun along with his three rbis. Todd Young added one single and one double.
Kaua’i Boys 22, Ikaika 3
The Kaua’i Boys’ had 26 hits and 16 rbis in its 22-3 drubbing of Ikaika Tuesday in the second game of the Lihue softball series.
Dee Dee Ibia, who allowed just eight hits, took the win for the Kaua’i Boys. Tomas Quest took the losTs.
Everyone got a piece of the hitting action for the Kaua’i Boys.
Paulmert Dasalia led the way with four rbis and two singles. Ibia knocked out a homerun, netted a triple and two singles and drove in three runs. Wayne Laranio and Rod Ochoa each had two rbis on four singles; Harry Best added two rbis on two hits; Jon Kahaunaele reached base four times and notched one rbi, Wendell Gabriel and Lambert Alapai each had two singles and Owen Kawaihalau added two singles.
In what was supposed to be a three game series on Tuesday, Universal Delivery took the victory by forfiet.
