The County’s Public Information Officer, Beth Tokioka, announced today that she will be leaving for a position with the Transportation Security Administration at Lihu’e Airport as of September 23. Tokioka has served as PIO since Mayor Kusaka’s re-election in 1998.
The County’s Public Information Officer, Beth Tokioka, announced today that she will be leaving for a position with the Transportation Security Administration at Lihu’e Airport as of September 23.
Tokioka has served as PIO since Mayor Kusaka’s re-election in 1998. She worked as Executive Secretary to the Mayor from December 1994 to November 1998.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for Beth, and comes at the right time as our administration draws to a close,” said Kusaka.
County information will continue to be processed through the Public Information Office, currently staffed by Tokioka and Information Specialist, Julie Souza.
