That’s not bad for a Saturday afternoon.
The Kaua’i North Shore Lions will be holding a “Fun in the Sun” golf tournament on Saturday, September 7 at the Princeville Makai Golf Course.
This is a fund raising event for the Kauai North Shore Lions Club with proceeds going to worthy causes such as youth scholarships and support of various community projects.
For individual competition, the tournament will have separate flights – one for golfers having established handicaps and one where handicaps will be calculated by the golfer’s play.
There will also be best ball team competition with a flight for those teams – one where both partners have established handicaps and the other for those teams where one or both partners do not have established handicaps.
Great prizes are available, such as two night stays at several hotels on other islands.
In addition, King Auto will give away a car to the golfer scoring a hole in one at a selected par three.
An awards luncheon will follow the tournament. It will be held at the Prince Golf Club Cafe immediately following the event.
There will also be drawings for additional prizes.
The tournament will have an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start and play over the Ocean / Lakes courses. Entry price is $80 which pays for the green fees, luncheon and prizes.
Advanced entries should be sent to “Lions Tournament, PO Box 223134, Princeville 96722”.
Questions or requests should be called to 639-8117.
