The commission held a public hearing on a council bill to protect public access for projects that are going through the subdivision process, over which the planning commission has authority.
The proposed language change requires property owners to dedicate land for public access to the mountains and the shore line, said Ray Chuan, who attended the meeting. The condition also will be applied before final subdivision is given a property owner, Chuan said.
