The County’s metals recycling contractor, Abe’s Auto Recycling, will be removing approximately 2,500 junk vehicles and other metal products from the Puhi Metals Recycling Center on Monday, August 19 and Tuesday, August 20. To facilitate the movement of this large amount of material, the county asks the public to avoid delivering materials or junk vehicles to the facility on those two days, and also to avoid coming to the facility for scrap metal. Emergency deliveries will be accepted.
In recent weeks, derelict vehicles have been left alongside the roadway fronting PMRC. Leaving a derelict vehicle on County property is illegal, and the public is reminded to use proper procedures for disposal.
