Road access to Kamalani Bridge closed

Due to construction work in the vicinity of Kamalani Kai Bridge, the road access from Lydgate Park to the bridge has been closed for approximately two weeks. Kamalani Kai Bridge will remain open and may be accessed via the beach.

Safety concerns are the reason for the closure, according to Doug Haigh, the County’s Superintendent of the Building Divison.

Kauai Builders has been contracted to build a bike/jogging path, which will connect the Kamalani Kai Bridge portion of the park with the main park area.
