The HGEA Mountainball League kicked off its softball season last weekend, and KFD, Custom Limo and Na Kolohe each came out with wins.
KFD scored four runs in the final two innings to top Rainbow Sports Kaua’i 6-3.
Gregg Morishige was the winning pitcher for KFD. He allowed six hits and walked three; Lance Nakata took the loss.
Big Bats for KFD: David Bukoski had two singles; John Blaylock had two singles and one RBI; Mike Scovel had two RBIs on one single; Alan Saiki had two singles; and Gregg Morishige had two singles.
Ace Lambert Alapai allowed 12 hits, but it turned into only four runs for the Nogi’s, who fell to Custom Limo 13-4.
Alapai took the win; Kyle Nakagawa, who allowed 13 hits, took the loss.

Norman Holt Jr. allowed just four hits and notched one strikeout to lead the Na Kolohe to an 8-1 win over the Hard Knocks.
Miles Aquino took the loss for the Hard Knocks.
