Kaua’i Hospice is pleased to have Barbara Noggle, BSN, arrive on island to become its new Interim Executive Director. After 20 years as Executive Director at Hospice of the Valley in San Jose, Calif., Ms. Noggle has agreed to leave her retirement plans on the mainland and join Kaua’i Hospice as it moves into its eighteenth year of providing free services to families coping with terminal illness.
Noggle was founding President of the California Hospice Association for several years and member of the Executive Committee/Board of Directors for that same association for additional years.
“If this opportunity had been presented to me last year,” she said, “the timing would not have been right for me. This organization is so ready to move on with the important work of hospice, I am excited about the possibilities.”
The Rev. John Lunn, Board of Directors president, said, “I am thrilled to have someone of this caliber and experience to help guide us. Staff, volunteers and the entire Board of Directors welcome Barbara with open arms. We hope the community will do the same.”
The Board of Directors of Kaua’i Hospice will begin its search for a permanent executive director in mid-July, after its 13th Annual Concert in the Sky Fourth of July Fundraiser.
Kaua’i Hospice is an island leader in providing care for those dealing with any kind of terminal illness. Hospice also offers supportive services to those grieving the death of a loved one, no matter when or where that death may have occurred.
