Frank E. Kiger has been promoted to president of Numila-based Kauai Coffee Company. He was named vice president and general manager in November 1999, and joined Kauai Coffee in 1996 as manager of the coffee factory, after two decades of working for McBryde Sugar Co., A&B’s former sugar growing and milling company on Kaua’i.
Kiger will continue in his position as general manager for Kauai Coffee Co., which include oversight of all operational and marketing activities. He has also been appointed general manager of Maui Brand Sugar, the specialty sugars operation of Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Company on Maui.
Kiger is a resident of Kekaha with his wife Peggy. The couple have two adult children, James and Ginger. He is serving his second term as president of the Hawaii Coffee Association and is a director of the Hawaii Coffee Growers Association.
The Kauai Coffee Company is the largest coffee estate in Hawai’i, and in the United States, and is a subsidiary of Alexander & Baldwin Inc.
